Photo Album: Water Mitigation Turned Mold Remediation Oxford, CT

The homeowner Carrier gave us a call for water damage in her basement after being referred to us by her interior designer.  She was concerned about the water damage creating mold in her home.     Professional Carpet Systems & Professional Restoration Systems responded immediately to review and scope the extent of the water damage in her home.  Upon inspection of the property we uncovered that there had been prior water damage that caused some extensive mold to grow in areas covered up by the baseboard heating system.   Our Restoration Specialists were deployed to remediate the mold Carrie's home.  The started by containing the affected area to prevent cross contamination of other areas of the home.  We then placed the affected area under negative pressure so that the mold remediation work could be completed.  Next we began the remediation work.  Mold damaged materials were removed, double bagged and disposed of by our Restoration Specialists.  The entire area received a thorough HEPA vacuuming of all surfaces to remove mold spores.  The area was then treated with a plant-based biological cleaning agent and the areas were "wet wiped" to remove any mold spores left on the surface.   The property was then dried out using air movers and dehumidification. Now Carrie and her family no longer need to worry about mold contamination in their home.
